When these WA farmers re-engaged Ryan, they were looking to begin the next stage of their Perth property journey.

Ryan had previously helped them secure a larger city base that suited their family at the time, but as their children grew older and their needs changed, they began looking for something more personal, refined and low-maintenance. The original home would remain part of their portfolio, while the next purchase needed to support the way they saw themselves spending more time in Perth in the years ahead.

The brief centred on finding a sophisticated lock-and-leave apartment that would feel easy to maintain, enjoyable to use and strong enough to hold as a long-term asset. While amenity, security and convenience were important, the clients were also clear that apartment living could not feel enclosed or limiting. Coming from the land, they needed openness, outlook and a sense of space. River views became an important part of this, along with a floorplan that allowed the master suite and main living areas to sit at the front of the apartment, capturing light, outlook and the best part of the residence.

The search itself became an important part of the advisory process. The journey did not begin with complete clarity; it was through inspecting and assessing a wide range of apartments that the clients developed a deeper understanding of what makes a premium apartment genuinely work. Together, we considered not only the apartment itself, but the building, strata structure, amenities, aspect, light, balcony usability, wind exposure, walkability, location and long-term value. It became clear that a successful apartment purchase is not simply about liking the interiors; it is the result of many factors working together.

Through this process, two connected opportunities were identified. The first was an immediate apartment in the right suburb and lifestyle location, allowing the clients to move out of their larger home and begin transitioning into the community and lifestyle they wanted. The second was "Harper on Swan", a premium off-the-plan development that more closely met their long-term brief around positioning, quality, amenity, river outlook and future lock-and-leave living. While Harper on Swan would not provide immediacy, it offered the standard and long-term fit they were ultimately working towards.

The property secured at Harper on Swan was a substantial 183sqm apartment in South Perth, offering river views, an ideal three-bedroom floorplan, two-car parking and premium building amenities. It gave the clients a future-facing Perth base that aligned with the lifestyle they were moving toward, while also standing up as a high-quality long-term property decision. Most importantly, the journey gave them both a practical interim solution and a more refined future city pad to look forward to — one that reflects their next chapter away from the farm, without losing the openness and ease they value.

Ryan and Rhyanna’s attention to detail, professionalism, knowledge and expertise of the Perth property market is first class. Their eye for long-term suburb value, building layout and quality materials left us feeling we were in safe hands. We valued how well they took care of the administration and negotiations.
